In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

And (remember) when his Lord tried Abraham with (His) commands, and he fulfilled them, He said: Lo! I have appointed thee a leader for mankind. (Abraham) said: And of my offspring (will there be leaders)? He said: My covenant includeth not wrong-doers. (2:124)

Facing and walking through this life is just like waiting trees to grow up activity, if we plant a good seed, good manure then it will leafy with heavy fruits. Unfortunately, not all landworkers realizes that waiting trees activity need firm belief and patience. Never forgot in mind the story of Ibraheem and Ismail ‘alaihissalam. Allah’s servant who had prove their love to Allah. Allah SWT tested their godliness and lawfulness. A father who were tested with his love and a son who were tested with his obedient to his father and his God.

Ibraheem never thought that Allah gave him a dream, a hard dream to sacrifice his son which he had been waited for 80 years to have. An absurd dream to be true. Exceedingly to his lovely son. But, Ibraheem believe that its not an empty dream, he believe that it was an order from Allah SWT.

Wisely, he said his anxiety to Ismail, as said in the Koran :
And when (his son) was old enough to walk with him, (Abraham) said: O my dear son, I have seen in a dream that I must sacrifice thee. So look, what thinkest thou? (37:102)

And very touchable response from Ismail as said in the Koran :
He said: O my father! Do that which thou art commanded. Allah willing,
thou shalt find me of the steadfast. (37:102)
Second he said : Father, take off my clothes in order that the blood not
stain it which lessening my reward and makes my mother sad.
Third he said : sharp your knife and make it work fast so I cant feel the
pain, and
the last he said : give my regard to mother and give my clothes to be her
conforter in her sadness and also to be a gift from her only son.

Heard what Ismail said, Ibraheem embrace his son with love. He said : I’m happy to have an obedient son, loyal to his parents and Allah.

We can take the wisdom from this two Allah’s servant :
1. Love need sacrifice, the more high and nobel that love the more it sacrifice. Is there any high and nobel love but Allah?
2. Sometimes our nearness to Allah has an obstacle such our love to son, property, sisters and others. As Koran said : ” Say: If your fathers, and your sons, and your brethren, and your wives, and your tribe, and the wealth ye have acquired, and merchandise for which ye fear that there will no sale, and dwellings ye desire are dearer to you than Allah and His messenger and striving in His way: then wait till Allah bringeth His command to pass. Allah guideth not wrongdoing folk”. (At Tawba:24)

Also, our nearness to Allah can be far because we were left forever by someone we love. He forgot that there is nothing eternal in this life but Allah.

It will be beautiful when we can follow the exemplary of Ibraheem. He can prove his love to Allah more and more than any love he had.

EID ADHA MUBARAK TO ALL MEMBERS OF QURANIC ENLIGHTENMENT. May Allah gives us the spirit of Ibraheem for all our whole life, be the best servant of Allah. Amin, InsyaAllah.
